June 2025 Newsletter Highlights and Updates You Shouldn’t Miss

Updated: Jun 2

Hello Oxford Community Members!

The month of May was very busy! We had several community events, a Board of Directors election, and more!

The Board of Directors election met quorum and the new Board was duly elected. Our Board of Directors are: Jessica Carter, Mark Hoover, and Antonia Pierre-Noel. Make sure to give them a big congratulations when you see them!

At the Organizational Meeting of the Board the following individuals were elected into their respective positions: President - Madisyn Magistrado, Vice President - Jonathan Bush, Secretary - Angela Williams, Treasurer - Kaitlin Kiley. Due to a resignation, the Board had to appoint a new Secretary towards the end of May. They took submissions and nominations for this position, and have appointed Gretchen Gipson to the position of Secretary. You can find the Board and Officer information on the website.

Our community Cinco de Mayo event was successful! The weather cleared up and both food trucks had a successful turnout. Thank you to all those involved in the planning and execution of this community event! We appreciate you all! The community Ice Cream Social, held to celebrate the end of another school year, was also successful! Even with the on and off rain we experienced, there was a good turn out! Thank you to all the community members who participated in this event!

The HOA is working to put together committees. If you are interested in serving on a committee, please submit an request form through your PayHOA portal.

☀️ 1. Lawn Care & Landscaping Guidelines

As we are in the middle of growing season, please be mindful of the covenants regarding lawncare. Ensure your lawn is regularly mowed, the yard is reasonably weed free, and flower beds are maintained.

🗑️ 2. Trash & Recycling Information

Please ensure that your trash bin is promptly removed from the street after pick-up. The covenants state that trash cans must be kept out of view. The HOA suggests keeping your trash can on the side of your house, in the backyard, or in the garage. We understand that trash cans are often stored on the side of the garage/home. We have decided to keep this in mind regarding covenants violations.

Typical trash items that are picked up include:

  • Green Waste (Tree limbs, Brush, Leaves, Grass Clippings, etc.)

  • Appliances (Washers, Refrigerators, etc.)

  • Cardboard Boxes (must be collapsed and bundled together)

Items NOT picked up include, but are not limited to, PAINT, OIL, BATTERIES, GAS AND GAS TANKS (or anything considered to be hazardous materials), TELEVISIONS, COMPUTERS, MICROWAVES, TIRES, CLOTHES OR BLANKETS, PAPER, PERISHABLES (such as food), GLASS BOTTLES OR JARS, OR ANY CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS

Any hazardous materials are disposed of at the Solid Waste Disposal Authority.

Trash Pick-Up Day: Thursday

Bulk Pick-Up Day: Friday

🚗 3. Parking & Street Safety

Please be aware that our community is full of children. Be cautious when driving through the neighborhood. The speed limit is 25MPH through the neighborhood.

The covenants outline parking regulations for our community. There is NO PARKING in yards. Vehicles may not be parked on the street for longer than five (5) days if it is unlicensed or incapable of being operated on public highways. Boats, RVs, motor homes, mobile homes, or towed vehicles cannot be parked in the Community (except if kept in a garage or other area designated by the Board) for longer than twenty-four (24) hours.

Please be mindful when using street parking. We ask that you first utilize your garage and/or driveway before parking on the street. If you must park on the street, we ask that you are mindful of your distance to the curb and that you do not block intersections, others' driveways, or any mailboxes.

🐾 4. Pet Owner Responsibilities

The Covenants state that dogs shall be confined whenever they are outside your home (e.g fenced , leashed, or on a lead.) This is to ensure the safety of all pets and people. Please do not knowingly allow your dog to roam off leash.

If you are missing a pet or if you find a lost pet, please contact Huntsville Animal Services. Many homeowners utilize the Facebook Page to post missing/lost/found pets. A link to the Facebook Page can be found on the website "FAQ" tab.

📣 5. Updates & Info

  • The website domain "oxfordhoa.org" is not affiliated or associated with Oxford HOA or the neighborhood. Please refrain from submitting contact forms or payments through this website.

  • All payments moving forward will be made through your PayHOA homeowner portal. (Like PayPal, PayHOA has a fee for transactions. This amount will be displayed when a transaction is made through the website.)

  • ARC requests, violation reports, and other forms will be available on your PayHOA homeowner portal.

  • The Board and the Officers have been working to sort through the documents we received and the information we were given without documentation. We thank you for your patience and understanding!

  • The Board has decided to uphold the previous Officers' decision to release all liens in the neighborhood. The Board and its Officers are working to follow the legal process to release liens. Please be on the look out for physical mail for proof of lien release.

  • Due to a lack of supporting documentation, the Board has decided to wipe all delinquencies for community members. We understand this decision may not be accepted by members of the community, and it was not made lightly. The Board will be holding an informational gathering of the community at a future date to discuss this issue (and others).

All ARC requests can be made through your PayHOA portal. Please find the "PayHOA" link in your homeowner portal.

All questions, comments, and concerns for the HOA can be submitted via email submission to feedback@oxfordhoa.com , in the "Contact Us" tab on the website, or through your PayHOA homeowner portal.
