August 2025 Newsletter

As summer comes to a close and we prepare to welcome the fall season, we want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for making this community such a special place to call home. Over the past few months we've witnessed what true neighborhood spirit looks like: neighbors helping neighbors, volunteers stepping up, and families coming together for events that remind us of the power of connection. From our Back-To-School Block Party to the ongoing efforts to maintain and beautify our common areas, the heart of Oxford is truly alive and well. We want to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the neighbors on Lena Cain Blvd who graciously allowed us to use their yards during the Block Party. Your kindness helped create a safe, spacious, and welcoming environment for everyone. Some of you even provided games and waterslides that kept the kids (and adults) laughing and engaged all day long. We cannot close out without recognizing our HOA Vice President, Jonathan Bush, for his tireless dedication in maintaining the back lots and front islands. His hands-on work and consistency have made a visible difference in our neighborhood's appearance and upkeep. Thank you, Jonathan, for your leadership and service. To every neighbor who donated, showed up, cleaned up, or simply smiled and waved, thank you, Oxford continues to thrive because of you.

With gratitude,

J.A.M

Board of Directors

NEIGHBOR SPOTLIGHT -- The Hymans

This month, we're proud to shine out Neighbor Spotlight on the generous and compassionate Hyman family. During our Back-To-School Supply Drive, Spenser and Kellyn went above and beyond: donating over 45 backpacks, along with crayons, glue sticks, loose-leaf paper, composition notebooks, and more. In total, their family contributed to more than 70% of all supplies received! Because of their generosity, many students in our community will head into the school year feeling confident, prepared, and supported. From all of us in Oxford, THANK YOU, Hyman family, for being a shining example of what it means to love where you live and give where you can. Your kindness left a last impact.

MESSAGE FROM YOUR OFFICERS -- Vice President Jonathan Bush

"I am a retired combat veteran with nearly 14 years of distinguished and highly decorated service in the Military Police Corp. I specialized in SWAT, weapons (lethal and non-lethal), threat assessment, Protection Services, and was an instructor of many things, most importantly of which was mental resiliency. I worked with a myriad of other job fields while serving and picked up a ton of cross training knowledge. During my life I've gained different levels of experience in the following fields: landscaping, automotive repair, pest control, construction, gardening, investing, trading, bookkeeping, personnel management, health and nutrition, and a plethora of other minor things. I enjoy hanging out with neighbors and love talking about anything. I chose to volunteer as your HOA VP to bring transparency and accountability to not only the community but also the Board of Directors and their day to day operations. I don't like to sit around and wait for things to get done and am a man of action. I'm stubborn about asking for help but it is always welcomed. My goals are to help foster a friendlier, more outgoing community and to assist in bringing an amenity on the back lot with our President. i keep an open door policy and am always available during the daylight hours for a face to face meet and greet or to answering any questions anyone ay have. I'm thankful for this opportunity and excited for what the future may bring the neighborhood.
